MAKK's strong R&D background back up solid output and practical solutions. Past R&D topics are
briefly listed in the section background. Present day R&D focus is mostly serving the needs of
ongoing projects.
The R&D aims further development of optical engineering and optical sensors technologies for space
applications and vehicles. The nearest interest is in advanced solutions of optimizing signal to noise
ratio of the optical sensors and instruments, implementation of the high rate data acquisition and
throughput for active and passive electro-optical sensors and instruments, improvement of
accuracies and precisions as well as the resolution, field of view and operational ranges for those
systems.
The use of new materials in combination with advanced packaging and integration enables better
design and performance. Optimization of design parameters and performance characteristics with
the use of new materials, better innovative concepts and configuration is what we continuously
investigate and develop.
